Indonesian Scholar Scientific Summit (I3S) 2019 is the second international scientific meeting forum which brings researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate and discuss the research results, scientific findings, and practice abstractions in the public, industrial and non-profit sectors. Produce ideas both at the idealistic and pragmatic level that can provide constructive contributions to change, improve and develop science and the quality of people life and welfare. Brings more than 200 participants consisting of academics, researchers, industry practitioners, and nonprofit actors
Tunghai University is the first and only educational institution in Taiwan that offers a complete education program from kindergarten to PhD program. Tunghai University is renowned for its picturesque campus and landmarks, which provide an ideal environment to conduct teaching and research. The Rainbow Village is a street art in Nantun District in Taichung, Taiwan. Resident veteran, Yung-Fu Huang, a self-taught grandpa artist, began painting empty houses in his settlement in 2008 to save them from demolition. Mr. Huang said that he will continue to paint even when he is 100 years old. Over the years his colourful artwork, which includes birds, animals and people, has spread over the remaining houses in the village, which once contained 1,200 homes. The village, now known as Rainbow Village, has since become a popular tourist site in the city.
Calligraphy Greenway & Park Lane
Calligraphy Greenway comes in 3.6 kilometers, ranging north from National Museum of Natural Science to National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in the south. It’s an urban space structure shaped in a kind of long and wide stripe. Calligraphy Greenway has a form like the cursive writing of Chinese calligraphy and it’s free to come in all day.
Shen Ji New Village
Shen Ji New Village is a dorm compound built by the Taiwan Provincial Government nearly half a century ago to accommodate employees of the auditing office. As the government restructured, the dorms were left unused for years. With the government’s revitalization plans, the historic village is now transformed into a lively and innovative base for young entrepreneurs to start their businesses. The young vitality and creativity has stirred up the charm of the space and created cheerful atmosphere. Moreover, creative marketplaces are held on weekends from time to time. Through the village only takes up about 0.52 hectares, its enjoys a superb location nearby Park Lane by CMP, a commercial area rich in cultural and artistic vibes. Its history, new development and location are what make Shen Ji New Village one-of-a-kind.
National Taichung Theater
National Taichung Theater is a stunning building, which has the Grand Theater, playhouses, a sky garden, and a shopping center. To see the documentary video done by the discovery channel. This building is worth to explore in Sunday to Thursday at 11:30-21.00 and Friday to Saturday at 11:30-22.00
Miyahara Eye Hospital
Miyahara Eye Hospital is actually an ice cream joint. Miyahara is located near Taichung’s old train station. It was an eye clinic built by a Japanese optometrist- Miyahara (Gong Yuan) during the time of the Japanese occupation. It is a 2-story red brick building with arch designed passageway, which was the largest eye clinic in Taichung at that time. The renovation of this relic is not only to establish a flagship store for “Dawn Cake”, but also to accomplish a dream of this construction team, restoring the prosperity of Central District of Taichung.
Gaomei Wetlands is one of the most well-known and well-preserved wetland habitats in Taiwan. Gaomei Wetland located on the south of the mouth of Dajia River is a land mixed with both sand and soil textures and comes in 1,500 acres. That explains why it has complicated yet rich wetland ecology and possesses the largest group of Bolboschoenus planieulmis in Taiwan. Due to diverse geographical features, the species of its ecology is quite abundant. Every year around fall and winter, large flocks of migrating birds would come here for either short or long stay over the winter, serving as the best spot for bird-watching.
Fengjia Night Market
Fengjia Night Market also called Fengjia Shopping Town, is a night market in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. The market is located next to Feng Chia University. It was claimed to be the largest night market in Taiwan. The Fengjia Night Market was established in 1963 and it is the largest and most popular night market in Taichung.
Taichung Second Public Market
In early times, the Market was an important hub where daily commodities were collected and distributed. The special characteristic of the market is that it is a hexagonal design. Although the separation is not clear now, the market was divided into six categories in the past. It is now famous for its food from the morning to the night. Don't miss the famous buns, noodles, minced pork rice, and black tea. If you have time, you can visit the religious center of the market, Wude Temple. The temple honors the martial god "Guan Yu" and the sea goddess "Mazu". The Second Market is also a place where you can find delicious local food of Taichung.
